Educational Service Unit #8 Plans Major Renovation Project

Educational Service Unit 8 has announced a major renovation of its main facility on 3rd and Main in Neligh.

Through the foresight and leadership of current and former board members, the funding resources have been accumulating over a number of years. On Monday night the board will hire an architect for the anticipated 24 month project.

The goal of this project is to create an office area on the main floor off the third street entrance. A conference area will be remodeled off the main street entrance to seat 100 participants that can be subdivided into areas of 30. Another goal is to maintain the historic look of downtown, while modernizing and creating a functional training area for the schools in the 7 counties ESU 8 serves.

The current building will be renovated to meet ADA and fire safety requirements.
