Dueling Pianos Instrumental In One-Room Schoolhouse Event

Supporting the One-Room Schoolhouse was music to everyone's ears Saturday night as nearly 250 people gathered for Dueling Pianos — a fundraiser for the nonprofit project.

Organizers said they were thrilled with the turnout and overall support of Antelope County for the entire project, especially in terms of the fundraising event.

The schoolhouse was moved several months ago to Neligh from the Clearwater area. It will be renovated to look as close as possible to its original look. Inside, the building will be set up like it would have been when in use, with additional exhibits showcasing the history of schools like it in Antelope County and Nebraska. The exhibit will be open to the public, and visitors will be able to tour it during regular business hours.
