Dozen Young Hunters At Annual Youth/Mentor Pheasant Hunt

Saturday was a fun day for a dozen youth hunters as they were paired with a mentor and a dog handler for a couple hours of pheasant hunting.

This annual event was sponsored by Pheasants Forever. The Antelope County Shooters Club provided the ammunition for the hunt.
 
Youth who participated in the event were Nathan Halsey, Stevie Nelson, Caden Reikofski, Tanner Sparr, Conor Ramold, Erica Brown, Landyn Schrader, Carson Jones, Carson Whitesel, Robert Lierman, Austin Good and Ian Larson. All of the youth had completed a fall hunter's safety course and were selected from local classes. 

Mentors and dog handlers were Walt Patras, Dan Tillis, Kevin Patras, Ed Hansen, Mark Hansen, Blake Heithoff, Bill Hansen, Bill Short, Roger Tillson, Randy Howser, Chris Hansen, Wade Pitzer and Mark Eggers.
