Dangerous Wind Chill: School Cancellations For Wednesday

With a possible wind chill of -36 degrees Wednesday, it's no surprise schools across the country are planning to keep students home.

Antelope County
Clearwater-Orchard: 10 a.m. Late Start
Elkhorn Valley: No school
Elgin/St. Boniface: 10 a.m. Late Start, no morning or afternoon preschool
ESU 8: 10 a.m. Late Start
Neligh-Oakdale: 10 a.m. Late Start, no morning preschool

Several other area schools, including Creighton, Norfolk and Plainview have canceled classes. Ewing will have a 10 a.m. late start.

The National Weather Service issued a Wind Chill Warning until noon tomorrow. Frost bite can occur in as little as 15 minutes when skin is exposed to these dangerous wind chills.
