Cole Belitz Earns Gold Medal At Burwell Speech Meet

A Neligh-Oakdale sophomore won a gold medal at his second speech meet of the season.

Cole Belitz earned first place in varsity humorous prose at the Burwell Invitational on Saturday.

This is Belitz's first year performing in this category and he's off to a running start. He picked up a fifth place medal in his first meet last week at West Holt.

The Neligh-Oakdale speech team, coached by Tammy Marshall and Rebecca Koopman, will head to Centura High School for their next meet on Saturday, March 25.
