Clip & Curl often gives its customers a new look, but on Saturday, it’s their new look - and business expansion - that will be getting attention.
Besides a recent remodel, Clip & Curl also showcases the clothing line offered by Bangle Boulevard, their online clothing store that opened earlier this year.
Clip & Curl's remodel and expansion will be on display as the Neligh hair salon and boutique hosts an open house Saturday, Aug. 2, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Owner Tracie Rudloff said the remodel was finished in late May and features new flooring, paint, furniture, countertop and more. The interior looks significantly different with the countertop now east to west, which opened up the area.
“It’s been a lot of fun,” Rudloff said. “It’s really changed the look for us.”
Joining Rudloff at Clip & Curl are stylists Janet Baker and Heather Bartak. Baker has worked at Clip & Curl since 2012, when she moved back to the area. Baker ran Family Hair Care in Neligh for about 15 years prior to moving to Colorado in 2009.
Bartak, a 2008 Ewing graduate, joined Clip & Curl in May after Bonnie Schwarting retired. Bartak graduated from Joseph's College in Kearney and worked at Regis until she decided to return to the area.
The changes - and open house - features more than just new interior, though, it also is an opportunity to showcase Rudloff’s expansion into clothing.
In February, Rudloff, Ashely Landers and Audrey Patterson opened Bangle Boulevard, an online clothing store at www.bangleblvd.com. The store offers diverse fashion apparel and accessories to satisfy ladies of all ages.
“Ashely has always wanted to do this,” Rudloff said. “She wanted affordable clothing for a niche market, and this is working out really well.”
Rudloff said she’s enjoyed having a clothing line and changing the window displays to show the items. She said her customers have welcomed the apparel, which Rudloff said offers different styles than were previously being offered in Neligh.
To celebrate the expansion and remodel, Clip & Curl is offering 10% off its products and $5 off highlights and pedicures August 4-15.
