The City of Neligh approved a resolution to be given to the Neligh Volunteer Fire Department for serving the area for 100 years and more.
The Neligh Volunteer Fire Department has 45 selfless members that dedicate themselves to the Neligh community. Each member spends numerous hours of time and effort that often goes unrecognized said Joe Hartz, Neligh Mayor.
“We wanted to let them know that all they do is appreciated,” said Hartz. “A lot of their work goes underappreciated.”
The resolution is a formal letter given to the fire department to thank them for all their duties they do for the city. Therefore, the fireman’s unselfish dedication is publicly recognized by the City of Neligh. The resolution was drawn up by Jim McNally and approved by the city.
