City Of Neligh Plans Public Transit Week Activities

Daily activities and prize drawings will celebrate Public Transit Week in Neligh next week.

The City of Neligh is recognizing the local transit system and the services it provides. Citizens are encouraged to discover what Dial-A-Ride Public Transit offers. Each day, riders will be entered in drawings for prizes.

Events planned for April 9-13 include:
Monday, April 9: Passenger Appreciation - The city will thank its Dial-A-Ride passengers for their patronage with a free snack.
Tuesday, April 10: Backpack Day - Pre-school through 2nd grade students will be given Dial-A-Ride Word Search Puzzles. Completed puzzles will be returned and entered in a drawing to win a spring activity basket.
Wednesday, April 11: Business Appreciation Day - Thank you treats will be given to the Neligh businesses community who support Dial-A-Ride Public Transit.
Thursday, April 12: Anniversary Party - The city will host a Chamber Coffee at 10 a.m. in the City Council Chambers to celebrate 40 Years of Dial-A-Ride Public Transit.
Friday, April 13: Driver Appreciation Day - The three Dial-A-Ride drivers, Jack Conger, Kathy Heckert and Gordy Hagge, will be recognized with gifts to thank them for their service.
