City, Goodwill Trailer Ready For Neligh's Clean-Up Days

The annual Spring Clean Up will be held Saturday, April 5 and Sunday, April 6 for residents and businesses in the City of Neligh. All residents are encouraged to take this weekend to clean up their yards and houses. 

The Compactor will be open regular hours on Saturday, April 5 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. FREE services will be available from 12 to 3 p.m. that day for Neligh residents living within the city limits providing proof of residence with a driver’s license.  

During this time, the City of Neligh has extended the hours at the City Tree Dump to dispose of yard waste and debris. The tree dump will be open Saturday, April 5 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, April 6 from 1 to 5 p.m.

Rain dates will be held on April 12 and 13, if needed.  

During the spring clean up, the Goodwill Donation Trailer will be in the American Legion south parking lot. The trailer will be available from April 3-8. On Thursday, April 3, the hours are noon to dark. From Friday, April 4 to Tuesday, April 8, the hours will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., or until the trailer is full. Gently used clothing, household items, computers and computer equipment will be accepted.  Please place all items inside the trailer towards the front of the truck and not outside the trailer. Due to lack of space, large items such as furniture and appliances will not be accepted. Receipts for tax deductions will be available.
