Neligh-Oakdale senior Connor Bentley beat Payton Schake of Amherst two times in three days for a bronze medal. The Warriors captured two medals Saturday at the Class D state wrestling meet in Omaha. Bentley was third at 182 pounds and sophomore Louis Herley was fourth at 113 pounds. At 182 pounds, Bentley (41-10) defeated Schake (44-9) 6-0 in the third-place match. The two faced off on Thursday in the quarterfinal bout with Bentley coming out on top, 8-1. Earlier on Saturday, Bentley pinned Clay Seifer Stapleton-McPherson County in 3:31 to advance to the third-place match. Seifer was a sixth-place medalist last season. At 113 pounds, Herley (40-20) was pinned in 1:41 by Kalen Klingelhoefer of Amherst (34-7) in the third-place match. Earlier Saturday, Herley defeated Trey Dodson of North Platte St. Patrick's by a 7-2 decision.
