More than 200 people attended Thursday night's performance of the 43rd Army Band at the Antelope County Fairgrounds in Neligh. As promised, the music was a mix of old and new to provide something for everyone. Another 1,200 people watched the performance online on the ACN Facebook page. View the performance here. Dozens of veterans were in the audience and stood in recognition during the Armed Forces Parade. The biggest response musically from the crowd was the favorite "God Bess The U.S.A." The band also mixed in the Zac Brown Band and Charlie Daniels Band, as well. Joining the band for one song were local musicians, including some from Antelope County. Neligh-Oakdale band teacher Nate Metschke directed that number. Directing the 43rd Army was CW4 Brian Anderson, Commander. |
