Antelope County Residents Warned Of Computer Scam

Several Antelope County residents are reporting a computer scam.

The scammer is phoning residents to tell them a virus may have infiltrated their computer. Once gaining access to the computer, the scammer can download all personal records and passwords stored on the machine as well as has the ability to upload viruses. 

In this scam, the company "searching" for viruses then sells its service to remove the virus it uploaded. 

Residents are reminded to never allow anyone virtual access to their machine unless they initiated the contact and are certain they are working with a reputable company.
