The Antelope County Extension office, in cooperation with UNL–Lincoln Extension, is hosting a Beef Profitability Workshop in Neligh for all cow/calf and beef feedlot operations.
UNL Extension beef educators will present the latest research and information in an effort to help maximize economic returns. Several topics will be provided, but this workshop will specifically address the following:
• Stalk residue as a feedstock
• Alternative forages
• Fencing / watering options while grazing residue
• Forage testing in nutrition management
This workshop will begin with lunch at 12 p.m. on Thursday, January 23, 2014 in the Antelope County Courthouse basement meeting room. Cost of the workshop is $20, which includes lunch and a copy of the beef profitability proceedings.
Pre-registration is requested for meal purposes and can be completed by calling the Antelope County Extension office at 402-887-5414 no later than Monday, January 20.
