Annual Bike Rodeo Provides Free Helmets To Youth

About 80 children participated in the annual Bike Rodeo on Friday, learning the importance of bicycle safety and receiving a new helmet.

The event was sponsored by several organizations this year, including  the Neligh Police Department and the Neligh Public Library, with the helmets provided for free. Other assisting were Midwest Medical Transport, Neligh Rescue, Women of Neligh, Antelope County Extension Office, Melissa Smith-State Farm Insurance and Antelope Memorial Hospital. 

Youth were then fitted for bike helmets and allowed to test their biking abilities with an obstacle course outside of the library.
