Antelope Memorial Hospital welcomes the addition of Ashley Thies, Nurse Practitioner, to its medical staff this summer.
Originally from Randolph, Thies is a 2007 graduate of Randolph High School. She attended Wayne State College, graduating in 2011 with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology. She then attended the University of Nebraska Medical Center, graduating in 2012 with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nursing. She is currently enrolled at UNMC and plans to graduate in May 2016 with a dual Master’s of Science degree in Family Nurse Practitioner and Nurse Educator. She plans to take her boards later in May and begin practicing at AMH on July 1st.
"To say that I am excited to serve the healthcare needs of those in a rural setting in Antelope County ‒ is an understatement,” said Thies. “I look very forward to the start of the next part of my journey. I am confident that my eagerness to learn and experience as a nurse ‒ will enable me to make a positive contribution to the future of healthcare. I am eager to be incorporated into the community and work alongside of a team of providers who have passion for serving patients’ holistic needs.”
Ashley’s parents are Marty and Pam Thies of rural Randolph. Marty farms and Pam teaches in Randolph; they also own “Bee Fit” in Randolph. Ashley has two younger siblings, Bradley (age 23) and Hannah (age 20). Bradley is a Data QA Automation Engineer at Farm Credit Services of America in Omaha. Hannah attends the University of South Dakota, majoring in pre-nursing, and plans to attend UNMC this fall, majoring in nursing. Ashley’s hobbies include golf, basketball, volleyball, fishing, road trips, attending concerts and watching the Huskers.
Beginning in July, Ashley looks forward to providing medical care for patients of all ages at the AMH Family Practice Clinics. For an appointment, call 877.887.5440.
