Alex Kerkman Family Presented Active Duty Flag

A recent Neligh-Oakdale graduate and his family was recognized Friday during the school's Veterans Day program..

Alex Kerkman, a 2017 Neligh-Oakdale graduate and son of Jeff and Becky Kerkman, is serving in the U.S. Army. Deb Bentley of the American Legion Post 172 presented Becky Kerkman with an active duty flag in honor of her son's military service.

The white flag with red border has a blue star representing Kerkman's service and is to be flown by the family during his active service.
