Antelope County News is proud to announce the inaugural Booster BBQ, Bash and Glow Ball Tournament.
The tournament will take place Thursday, August 11 at the Antelope Country Club in Neligh. The night will kick off with a free-will donation BBQ and family fun "Olympic" games beginning at 6 p.m. At 7:30 p.m., the Antelope County Sheriff's Department will hold a special fundraiser for the local DARE program. The glow ball tournament will tee off at 9 p.m. Cost for the tournament is $100 per team. The tournament is a four person scramble. Participants can rent a cart or use their own. Each team will be provided with six glow balls at no extra cost. Extra glow balls will be available for purchase as well as one miracle putt and one mulligan per team. There will also be other fundraising events throughout the night at the clubhouse. All proceeds, including those from the BBQ and tournament, will go to benefit the athletic programs for Neligh-Oakdale, Elkhorn Valley, Clearwater-Orchard and Elgin Public/Pope John. Anyone that is interested in getting a team for the tournament should contact the Antelope County News at (402) 887-4000 or email [email protected]. There will be a limit of 18 teams allowed to enter, so early entry is encouraged. Anyone that does not wish to participate in the golf tournament is encouraged to enjoy the BBQ and other events through the evening. |
