The City of Neligh has seen the food industry flourish over the last two years with a number of new dining options opening in town. Now, there is another new option, this time at the place people typically try to burn off their food calories.
719 Fitness Center announced on Thursday that they will now be offering meals from Eat Fit Go as another food option in town.
Eat Fit Go is a fast-growing restaurant franchise that offers pre-made, pre-portioned meals designed for those looking to eat healthy at the cost of a typical fast food meal. They have options for breakfast, lunch, supper and snacks throughout the day.
“We started talking with Todd (Uhlir), the owner of Eat Fit Go in Norfolk, and he wanted to partner up,” explained Shelby Snodgrass, who owns 719 with her husband, Seth. “We are going to take orders every week here until November. Then we will have vaccuum-packed meals that we’ll just keep in our cooler and people can come get them for lunch.”
One of the staples of Eat Fit Go is the Perfect Week meal plan. The meal plan consists of five meals a day for five days. It includes five breakfasts, lunches and dinners as well as five snacks and five protein bars. Snodgrass recommends that option for those that are trying to make good eating habits.
“Its to help you eat healthy, eat the right amount of food, stay on track and just learn how you should be eating,” she explained.
Some of the options for meals include wraps, enchiladas, pastas, chicken, fish and other varieties of foods, including choices for kids.
Until November, 719 will be taking orders a week in advance. They will have the orders available on Monday mornings to pick up. They will still offer their shakes as well for those wanting another option for lunch or a snack while waiting for their meals to be ready to pick up.
