28 Antelope County Wrestlers Still Vying For State Berth

Of all the wrestlers still in contention for a state berth at the Class D, District 2 meet in Creighton, 28 are from Antelope County schools.

One of the most competitive weights is 152, where three Antelope County wrestlers are in the semifinals. That's no surprise considering the three are ranked among the state's best in Class D. Garett Allemang of Neligh-Oakdale; Noah Rutjens of Elkhorn Valley and Andrew Fangman of EPPJ are all in the semifinals. 

But the big question is - who will win the district championship at 152?

The team races remains tight with just 5 1/2 points separating the top three schools. Neligh-Oakdale is currently third with 50 points. Elgin Public/Pope John is 10th with 23.5 points, Elkhorn Valley is 11th with 22 points and Clearwater-Orchard is 16th with 14 points. 

By weight, here are the wrestlers who will wrestle on Saturday. All of the following Antelope County wrestlers are either undefeated at the district or have just one loss. The top four in each weight qualify for state.
