Contestants will race, ride, rope and wrestle against time at the annual Clearwater Rodeo, June 26-28.
Mutton Bustin', for kids ages 3-7, is scheduled to begin each night at 7 p.m., followed by the rodeo competition at 7:30 p.m. Bullfighters Dave Jantzi and Matt Riha will work hard to keep the contestants safe, while rodeo clowns Todd Pettigrew and Shawn Stutzman entertain the crowd with their crazy antics.
On Friday night, the Clearwater Rodeo Queen will be crowned. And, all three nights, teams will frantically attempt to saddle up and ride a cow during the popular "Wild Cow Ride."
Food and beverages will be served at the rodeo and the dance. (No coolers allowed).
The street dance, featuring "The Back Forty Band," will follow the rodeo on Friday and Saturday nights. Admission is $5 for the dance.
Rodeo tickets are $5 in advance for ages 13 and older and can be purchased at Carhart Lumber, Wanek Pharmacy and Hilltop Drug in Neligh; at The Lunch Box in Orchard; Renegade and US92 in Norfolk; and at most Clearwater businesses, including Hi Way Mart, DK Seed and Clearwater Feed & Grain.
Tickets are $10 after Thursday for ages 13 and older. All tickets sold Friday during the day and at the gate are $10. Ages 5-12 are $2 and ages 4 and under are free.
If you need tickets prior to Thursday night and are having trouble locating any, contact the Antelope County News, as we are Clearwater Chamber of Commerce members.
