State Wrestling Roundup for NO, OC, EV, EPPJ Teams

Twelve local wrestlers advanced to this weekend's Class D state wrestling tournament and five claimed  medals home on Saturday.

Connor Bentley and Louis Herley of Neligh-Oakdale, Shane Willats of Clearwater-Orchard and Noah Rutjens and Chris Peterson of Elkhorn Valley all won medal at the CenturyLink Center in Omaha on Saturday morning.

Bentley was third at 195 pounds, Herley fourth at 113, Peterson fourth at 170, Willats fourth at 182 and Rutjens was sixth at 152.
