2020 Breaking News - Elgin Manhunt

We received notification of a manhunt in Elgin, Nebraska, in the early evening hours. Law enforcement was concerned for the safety of the community and was very cooperative with keeping us informed of the situation. The situation was resolved in about five hours. During that time we posted the initial warning to the community, a follow-up during the search and immediately informed them once the search was considered over. 

We utilized our website and social media, including Facebook and Twitter, to keep the public informed of the breaking news situation. On Facebook, we had nearly 500 shares of our initial story with another 240 of the follow-up story. Total pageviews on our website for those three stories surpassed 125,000.
