The Cyclone boys basketball team continued to tear through the competition on Thursday, adding their fifth win of the year.
Clearwater-Orchard hosted Humphrey St. Francis on Thursday in Clearwater. The boys used a big fourth-quarter comeback to move on to 5-2 with a 54-50 win.
They trailed the Flyers 33-27 at halftime and made little headway in the third quarter, entering the final frame down 42-37. However, the determined Cyclones caught fire, outscoring Humphrey St. Francis 17-8 in that final frame for the win.
Ryan Wilhelm led the charge with his third-straight double-double, posting 17 points and 11 rebounds. His point total was tied for the team lead with Blake Hoke, who was nearly perfect on free throws, going 10-of-11. Jacob Long also finished in double figures with 12 points.
As a team, the Cyclones came away with 15 steals, led by five from Liam Odell.
Earlier in the night, the girls were unable to find the bottom of the net, shooting 20 percent in a 60-29 loss.
Katie Stearns led Clearwater-Orchard, dropping in 10 points and pulling down seven rebounds. Julia Thiele, Grace Rittscher and Brooklynn Chipps each added four points. Chipps also had five rebounds while Thiele, Taylor Sanne and Allison Kerkman each brought in three.
