Award-winning duo Montgomery Gentry will bring their "Hillbilly Shoes" to the Antelope County Fair in July. Ag Society President Tim Good announced this afternoon that Montgomery Gentry will headline the Antelope County Fair on Friday, July 31, in Neligh. Good said the fair board has been working for some time on securing another top-name act and is excited to have energetic performers with a string of hits widely known by all ages. Known for their working class roots and southern rock flair, Montgomery Gentry (Eddie Montgomery and Troy Gentry) has 15 top 10 singles to their credit, including five No. 1s - “Something To Be Proud Of,” “If You Ever Stop Loving Me,” Lucky Man,” “Back When I Knew It All” and “Roll With Me.” The Kentucky natives began performing in the 1990s as part of two different bands with Montgomery's brother - John Michael Montgomery. In 1999, the two teamed up to form Montgomery Gentry and have been to one of the top country duos since. They've been nominated for Duo of the Year every year since 2000 from the Academy of Country Music and County Music Association. Click here to read their bio. Good said tickets will go one sale this summer for the concert, and the fair board will announce more details about the upcoming fair in the coming months. |
