Clearwater Votes To Draft Interlocal Agreement On Merger With Neligh-Oakdale & Ewing Schools10/2/2017
Clearwater held a special meeting Monday night and voted to hire legal council to draft an interlocal agreement with Neligh-Oakdale and Ewing on a potential school merger.
No action has been taken to sign an interlocal agreement at this time. The agreement is to state that the three schools would split costs involved with a potential merger. The board also took action to allow the school superintendents to schedule a meeting with all members of the three school boards. They discussed holding an 18-member board meeting on Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. in Neligh. That meeting would be open to the public. Neligh-Oakdale and Ewing have scheduled board meetings next week. Neligh-Oakdale has released its agenda for the Monday, Oct. 9 meeting, which also includes action to draft an interlocal agreement on the merger and to schedule a joint board meeting with Clearwater and Ewing.
