Highways a partially covered with snow this morning and will continue to be thanks to 30 mph wind gusts on Thursday.
The National Weather Service has Antelope County in an Winter Weather Advisory through noon, which is the same time the Wind Chill Advisory begins. That advisory will last until noon on Friday. The temperature is expected to reach a high of 6 on Thursday, but it will never feel warmer than -16 until Friday morning.
The NWS is reminding people that frostbite on exposed skin can occur in as little as 30 minutes. Snow, sleet or rain is possible during this time, which can lead to hazardous driving conditions.
