Heavy Snow Fall Predicted Sunday Night, Monday

​A winter storm will impact the region Sunday into Monday. Some patchy freezing drizzle will be possible Sunday morning ahead of the system. This changes to rain, and then back to snow as the low pressure center moves to the northeast.

Heavy snow is possible from western and central Nebraska through northeast Nebraska, southern South Dakota, northwest Iowa, and Minnesota. Snow is predicted up to 8 inches in Antelope County. 

Very strong winds are also forecast, which will create areas of blowing and drifting snow and potentially near blizzard conditions. Please stay up to date with the forecast as this storm approaches.

As of noon Thursday, a storm system off the West Coast continues to move towards the western and central Nebraska region through northeast Nebraska, southern South Dakota, northwest Iowa, and Minnesota. 

Potential blizzard conditions are expected. Forecast details will arrive accordingly as the weekend approaches.
