6 To 9 Inches Expected In Upcoming Winter Storm

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for Antelope County from Tuesday at 3 a.m. until Wednesday at 9 a.m.

Light snow is expected to begin as early as Monday evening. The snow is expected to become heavy by Tuesday afternoon, continuing into Tuesday night.

The weather is expected to impact travel for the area. Travel will be dangerous due to the snow-packed roads and low visibility as a result of the blowing snow. Visibility is expected to be reduced to less than half a mile at times.  

As much as six or nine inches of snow is expected from the storm. Winds of 15 to 30 miles per hour are expected, particularly on Tuesday afternoon. ​
