With Three EV Falcons Going For Gold, State Title Possible

Riding the momentum of their first-ever district title, the Elkhorn Valley Falcons remain in the hunt for their first state championship.

Trailing Amherst by only 8.5 points at the end of Friday night, the Falcons have stayed in the running for the title.  

In Friday night's matches, Alejandro Martinez, Noah Rutjens and Chris Petersen continue their pursuit of gold medals. 

Darren Stewart won his third consolation match and will face Devon Breuer to decide if he wrestles for third or fifth place in his weight division.

While Dillon Stewart lost his semifinal match to Trevor Nelson of Crawford, he has still locked in a medal. Stewart be competing for third or fifth on Saturday morning.
