Tilden Man Involved In Fatal Accident Late Friday Night

A Tilden man was involved in a fatal accident late Friday that killed a man from Ashland. The accident occurred near Highway 275 and 545th Avenue at about 11:20 p.m. 

According to the Madison County Sheriff's Department, Ryan Tripp, 29 of Tilden, was eastbound and crossed the center line. The pickup Tripp was driving collided head-on with a westbound pickup driven by 19-year-old Wyatt Andersen of Ashland.

Authorities said Tripp was transported to Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk. Andersen was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. 

The accident remains under investigation by the Madison County Sheriff's Department.
