Tilden Co-Ed Softball Tournament To Benefit Jeff Smith

A co-ed softball tournament is being planned in Tilden to help a man diagnosed with ALS.

The Jeff Smith Co-Ed Softball Tournament will be held on Saturday, August 29. Play will begin at 9 a.m. at Horseshoe Park (by water tower) in Tilden. A raffle and bake sale will also be held. Donated items are accepted.

Smith, who was diagnosed with ALS on Dec. 17, 2014, is married to Bonnie and is the father of Amber Fiala, Crystal Klug and Justin Smith. Proceeds from the tournament will help defray medical expenses.

To enter:
Accepting teams of 10 people (5 women and 5 men, ages 16 or older). Cost is $200 per team - due Friday, August 21. Cash and prizes will be awarded to the top 3 winning teams.
