Tilden Announces 2018 Prairie Days Celebration Schedule

Tilden Prairie Days is back with another fun-filled year of family-friendly events to be held, July 27-29.

The celebration's events include the popular Drag Your Nag contest, parade, fun run, street dance, and much more.

Here is a complete list of activities for Prairie Days 2018:

Friday, July 27
9 a.m.-6 p.m. - Quilt Show at Lied Auditorium in Library, $3
11 a.m.-1 p.m. - The Tilden Bank Community Appreciation Hot Dog Feed
3 p.m. - Food vendors open
4 p.m. - Disc Golf Clinic at horseshoe pond
8 p.m.-12 a.m. - "Side Step" Street Dance in front of American Legion; gate open at 7 p.m., adults $10, 12 & under $5

Saturday, July 28
All Day - Food vendors
8 a.m.-10:30 a.m. - Coffee and Rolls at Gazebo with free will donation
9 a.m. - Antique Machinery Show, broadcasted by 106 Kix
9 a.m.-6 p.m. - Treasures Along the Trail, broadcasted by WJAG (vendors, crafts, repurposed furniture, antiques, etc.)
9 a.m.-5 p.m. - Quilt Show at Lied Auditorium in Library
9 a.m.-10:30 a.m. - Parade Line-up and Judging west of Old Hospital/Pine Street
10 a.m.-3 p.m. - Antique Appraisals in Auditorium, $10/item
10 a.m.-1 p.m. - Concession at Auditorium
11 a.m. - Parade on Main St. & Oak St.
12 p.m. - TAPS Dance Studio Performance, corner by food vendors
12 p.m.-4 p.m. - Bounce Houses at football field, sponsored by TYMC
1 p.m.-4 p.m. - Tilden Fire & Rescue Open House
1 p.m.-4 p.m. - Show 'N Shine Car Show on Main St, line up immediately following parade, broadcasted by Lite Rock 97.5 KEXL
1 p.m.-4 p.m. - Kids Games/Tractor Pull/Barrel Rides around football field/auditorium, free will donation
1 p.m.-4 p.m. - Pool Party at City Pool, sponsored by 106 Kix
2 p.m. - Presentation/Book Signing at Library, by Jeff Barnes, author of 150 at 150: Nebraska's Landmark Buildings
4 p.m. - Ping Pong Ball Drop at Richie Ashburn Field
4 p.m. - The Branding Iron Beer Garden at Richie Ashburn Field
5 p.m.-7 p.m. - BBQ in the Hospital Park (free will donation), by Tilden-Meadow Grove Foundation Fund & Elkhorn Valley School Foundation
7 p.m. - Drag Your Nag at Richie Ashburn Field, broadcasted by US92, $5
9 p.m. - Broom Babes at Tennis Courts, broadcasted by Lite Rock 97.5 KEXL
9 p.m.-12 a.m. - Teen Dance at Tennis Courts
Dusk - Free Outdoor Movie at Horseshoe Bend Ball Park

Sunday, July 29

8 a.m. - 5K/10K Fun Run at Hospital Park, $15 for 5K, $20 for 10K
9 a.m. - Kid Run 1 Mile, 12 & under, $3
8 a.m.-1 p.m. - Pancake Feed, brought to you by Thrivent Financial & E.V. Teammates, free will donation
9 a.m.-2 p.m. - Treasures Along the Trail, broadcasted by WJAG (vendors, crafts, repurposed furniture, antiques, etc.)
9 a.m. - Antique Machinery School
9 a.m. - Community Church Service, Main St.
12 p.m.-2:30 p.m. - Quilt Show at Lied Auditorium in Library
2 p.m.-5 p.m. - Prairie View Assisted Living Open House, 5 year anniversary with coffee and cookies
3 p.m. - Presentation "Patchwork of the Prairie" with Yvonne Hollenbeck at the library
7 p.m. - John Petersen Concert at Church of Christ
