Tilden 1st, Neligh 3rd In 12 & Under Softball Tournament

The Tilden and Neligh softball teams both earned medals in the girls 12 and under softball tournament last weekend.

Neligh hosted the annual Quad County Softball League Tournament on Thursday, Friday and Sunday.

After a loss to Albion, Tilden had to battle their way through the loser's bracket for a spot in the championship game. The girls again met up with Albion, the only team with no losses. 

Tilden defeated Albion twice to capture the 12 and under league championship.  

Neligh earned third place in the tournament with wins over Battle Creek and St. Edward. Their only two losses in the tournament were both to Tilden.

The league tournament wrapped up the season for the area 12 and under softball teams.
