Smithsonian Sports Exhibit On Display At Tilden Library

The Smithsonian Institute Touring Exhibit, "Hometown Teams, How Sports Shape America," will be on display in the Lied Auditorium of the Tilden Library until September 15.

Tour the exhibit and register to win a $100 gift card from Hibbett Sports in Norfolk.

A special program will be held on Friday, September 5 as part of this exhibit. Beginning at 3 p.m., Sue McLain will present "It's Not Just About the Game." She will give a presentation about the fashions worn from 1890-1960 for both sports participants and their fans. The event will be held by the library fireplace and refreshments will be served.

The exhibit is sponsored by The Smithsonian Institute and Humanities Nebraska.
