Six EV Wrestlers Bring Home Medals From Wisner-Pilger

The Elkhorn Valley wrestling team finished in sixth place with one champion and two runner up finishes in the Wisner-Pilger Invite on Saturday.

Sean Vanderford won the 132-pound weight class to lead the Falcons. Noah Rutjens (152) and Dillon Steward (106) were second in their respective divisions. Third place finishers were Chris Petersen (182) and Darren Steward (113); and Alejandro Martinez (106) was fourth.

Elkhorn Valley will hit the mats again this week when they host a home triangular on Thursday, Jan. 15 with Clearwater-Orchard and Osmond.
