More Than 400 Students Attend Elkhorn Valley Choral Clinic

Students from all over Northeast Nebraska converged on Elkhorn Valley on Friday for the 45th annual Junior High Choral Clinic.

Participating schools were Elkhorn Valley, Clearwater-Orchard, Neligh-Oakdale, Pope John, Boone Central, Humphrey St. Francis, Lindsay Holt Family, Newman Grove, Norfolk Catholic, Randolph, Norfolk Junior High, Schuyler, St. Michael's, Wayne Middle School and Wheeler Central. 

Following the day's activities, students performed a concert in the evening as both a mass choir and in small groups. Local students performing in small groups were from Neligh-Oakdale, Pope John and Elkhorn Valley. 

Sheri Fraley was the guest clinician with Roni Branting as accompanist. Fraley is the music specialist at Elliott Elementary School within the Lincoln Public Schools district. Branting lives in Stromsburg and has been the Cross County Community Schools pianist since 2002.
