Elkhorn Valley Volleyball Team Goes 0-2 At Pierce Triangular

The Lady Falcons lost Thursday's non-conference Triangular at Pierce to the Lady Dragons of Madison and the Lady Jays of Pierce. Both matches ended with a score of 2-0. 

In the first match-up of the evening, Elkhorn Valley was taken down by the Pierce Lady Jays. The first set ended with a score of 25-9 and the second was finished with Pierce on top at 25-11.

Elkhorn Valley's second game was against the Dragons. The first set ended with Madison outscoring Tilden 25-8. The Lady Falcons were able to fight back in the second set but fell short with an 18-25 loss. Senior Katelyn Bartak of the Lady Dragons proved to be a force to be reckoned with as she led her team with 13 kills. The Elkhorn Valley Varsity Volleyball team finished regular season play with a record of 5-17.

The Lady Jays dominated the triangular with a 2-0 win over the Madison Lady Dragons. The score of the first set was 25-11 and the second ended at 25-22.

Conference play will begin next week with the #10 Lady Falcons playing #7 North Central in O'Neill on Monday. The game is set to begin at 6:15 p.m. in the St. Mary's gym. Click here for the full bracket.
