Elkhorn Valley Track Teams Compete In O'Neill Invitational

The Falcon track teams competed in the O'Neill Invitational on Thursday.

The Elkhorn Valley boys earned fourth place and the girls were tenth in Division 2 of the meet.

Winning the division for the boys was Wausa with 116, followed by North Central with 94,  and CWC with 79. The Elkhorn Valley boys placed fourth with 75 team points.

The boys 4x100 meter relay team narrowly edged out the competition, winning the relay with a time of 47.39. Wausa's team placed second with a 47.93.

Discus - Dylan Wilkins - 110-8 - fifth
Triple Jump - Noah Rutjens - 39-8.5 - second
Long Jump - Noah Rutjens - 18-3.5 - fourth
Pole Vault - Jayson Larson - 8-6 - third

Winning the girls division was CWC with 104.5, followed by Clearwater-Orchard with 93.

Ranee Keehn led the way for the Lady Falcons, leaping 32 feet, 10.5 inches in the triple jump for a gold medal.
