Elkhorn Valley Senior Is State Runner-Up In Triple Jump

Elhorn Valley's Ranee Keehn wrapped up her high school track career with the highest finish at the state track meet for any athlete from Antelope County.

The senior leaped 35-5 on Saturday to finish second in the triple jump and claim runner-up honors in Class D. Her silver medal is the highest finish at state among all 25 athletes competing from Antelope County schools.

Second place was decided by just a quarter inch. Tori Wendell, a junior from Boyd County, jumped 35-4.75.
