Elkhorn Valley Basketball Teams Drop Weekend Games

The Elkhorn Valley basketball teams were in action this weekend, both at home and on the road.

On Friday the teams hosted the Stuart Broncos and Saturday they travelled to Plainview to take on the Pirates.

The boys fell to the Broncos by a score of 68-36, led by Junior Koby Smith and sophomore Kalen Dittrich with 12 points each.

Against the Pirates, the boys came up short 50-22. Senior Emilio Sierra led the team in points with 9. 

The girls fell to the Broncos on Friday by a score of 69-34. Eight Lady Falcons put points on the board, led by Senior Ranee Keehn with 8 points.

On Saturday, the Lady Falcons entered a close contest at Plainview. They eventually came up short with a final score of 40-33. Junior Alyssa Rood led the team in scoring with 14 points.

Up next, the teams will be competing in the Clearwater-Orchard Holiday Tournament.
