Elgin Finishes Third, Elkhorn Valley Fourth At NVC Quiz Bowl

Two Antelope County schools finished in the top four today the Niobrara Valley Conference Quiz Bowl at Elkhorn Valley.

Elgin Public was third and Elkhorn Valley finished fourth. 

Elgin defeated Wheeler Central and Clearwater-Orchard before losing to eventual champion West Holt. Elgin they defeated Pope John and Elkhorn Valley. They then lost to West Boyd in the semifinal.

Elgin team members are Kyle Heithoff, Elianne Heilhecker, Tanner Welding, Tyler Smith and Alois Warner. The team is sponsored by Amy Klein.

Elkhorn Valley defeated Chambers and Neligh-Oakdale before losing to West Boyd. The Falcons then defeated Keya Paha before losing to Elgin.

Elkhorn Valley team members are Tyler Miller, Dulce Salgado, Tucker Hecht, Adam Potter, Tessa Glatte, Michael Knievel. 

West Holt won the championship with West Boyd finishing as runner-up.
