'Celebration Of Health' In Tilden To Offer Free Screenings

Faith Regional Health Services Outpatient Center and Faith Regional Physician Services Tilden Family Medicine are hosting a “Celebration of Health” on Saturday, Oct. 25.

The event will be held from 7 to 11 a.m. at Faith Regional’s Outpatient Center, located at 308 W. 2nd Street in Tilden. The event is free to the public and offers a wide variety of free screenings and low cost health services. Screenings include:

EKG Screening An electrical tracing of the heart detects problems with the heart even if an individual shows no signs or symptoms. Available to men and women over 40.

ABI Screening Checks for Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) by comparing the blood pressure in your arms to the blood pressure in your ankles.

Vein Screening Determines if you have enlarged or varicose veins which causes fatigue and pain, and swelling and heaviness in the legs.

Pulmonary Function Test Screening Breathing test to measure the capacity of your lungs.

Sleep Screening See if you are at risk for Obstructive Sleep Apnea and need to talk to your doctor about qualifying for a sleep study.

Balance Screening Get checked for fall risks and review stretching exercises.

In addition to offering free screenings, Faith Regional will provide low-cost services such as lab blood draw health panels for $40.00, PSAs (Prostate Specific Hormones) for $25.00 and flu vaccines for $25.00. Faith Regional healthcare providers, physical therapists and lab technicians will also be available to answer questions about a variety of health-related topics.
