Wolfpack Falls To Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family

The rocky season continued for the Elgin Public/Pope John football squad on Friday as they fell to Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family.

The Wolfpack struggled to find the end zone until late in the contest, not scoring until late in the third en route to a 46-14 loss to H/LHF.

EPPJ got scores from Hunter Reestman and Cameron Nielsen on the night. Reestman's came on a 47 yard dash to the end zone while Nielsen's came on an 18-yard scramble for six. Reestman finished with 77 yards rushing while the touchdown proved to be Nielsen's only carry of the night. Juan Lopez added another 25 yards on four carries.

Reestman also led the way through the air, passing for 64 yards on 9-of-13 passing. Four of those completions went to Conor Ramold, who mustered up 11 yards. Adam Dreger hauled in three grabs for 27 yards and Kyle Schumacher added 26 yards on two catches.

Defensively, Schumacher accounted for nine tackles, Nielsen had seven and Ramold, Liam Heithoff and Carter Schindler recorded six tackles each.
