Wolfpack Earn Two Wins Over Weekend At West Holt

The ladies of Elgin Public/Pope John didn't do much resting over the weekend as they traveled to West Holt on  Saturday for a couple of battles.

The came home from Atkinson with two more wins to their name, taking down both Plainview and West Holt.

Against Plainview, EPPJ took it in straight sets 25-14 and 25-15. The Wolfpack had a three-headed monster at the net, with Grace Henn, Kaylee Martinsen and Lydia Behnk recorded seven, six and five kills, respectively. Paige Meis also did some work for the Wolfpack, putting down two aces.

Against West Holt, the Wolfpack took home the win in a true three-set battle, 20-25, 25-15, 27-25. This time, Henn, Behnk and Meis provided all the firepower the Wolfpack needed. All three recorded nine kills apiece. EPPJ again got a big game from the service line as well, recording seven kills. Allyson Wemhoff was responsible for five of those and Nicki Payne recorded the other two.

Defensively, Haley Zegers had an incredible game at the net, recording six total blocks. Payne and Calli Krebs were also tough, recording four blocks each.
