2017-18 season preview: Coach Dan Roeber and Clearwater-Orchard wrestling fans have plenty to be excited about in 2017-18 as the Cyclones field the largest team since the co-op began.

The Cyclones had six wrestlers in the heartbreak round at last year’s district tournament but just one came out on top to head to state. That was Clay Thiele, who enters his junior year with high hopes as a leader for the Cyclones.

Coach Roeber said that he hopes others can also step up as leaders for the team, who will have the numbers and talent to compete with the best of them throughout the new season. The district match ups will be tough, but coach Roeber and his squad should be able to send a number of young athletes to Omaha.
