2017-18 season preview: Coach Derric Werner and the Elkhorn Valley boys basketball team are determined to show improvement in 2017-18.

The good news is, the Falcons bring back a ton of production in their double-double machines Brayden Effle and Kalen Dittrich. Those two combined for 19 points and 14.7 rebounds a game last year. While coach Werner is hoping other players are able to step up and take the pressure off the duo, it is a comfort knowing he has those two to lean on.

The new faces will need to fill in quick, as the Falcons have an opportunity for a quick start to the season if they can put together the best lineup and get strong defense as well.
