Runner-Up Warriors Flex Their Muscles At NVC Track

The Warriors finished with a slew of medals on Saturday, finishing runner-up in the boys division of the Niobrara Valley Conference track meet. 

After a strong start with the field events, including a second place finish in the long jump by Jayden Arehart and in the Tyson Belitz in the high jump, the boys 4x100 team flew to a championship with Alex Kerkman, Grant White, Cade Wilkinson and Arehart. The Warriors dominated the sprints with Kerkman, Wilkinson and Arehart going 3-4-5 in the 100.

The girls placed 10th in the team division. Individually, Bailey Frey led the Warriors with a third-place finish in the 300 hurdles. Kristen Snodgrass placed fourth in the 200 and seventh in the 100 and Alexis Jensen finishing fourth in the 100 and eighth in the 200. The Warriors had their best showing on the day in the pole vault with Courtni Heckert, Celina Knievel and Jayda Chance going 4-5-6.
