Warrior Volleyball Picks Up A Win At Stuart Triangular

The Neligh-Oakdale volleyballers were able to break their recent slump on Monday night as they took down one of their two opponents at the Stuart Triangular.

They started the night against the host school, nearly pulling off a two-set victory but ultimately falling short in a 25-18, 21-25, 10-25 loss to the Broncos.

The Warriors got a big night at the net from Amanda Dietz, Bailey Frey and Jaclynn Hixson. The trio accounted for nine, seven and six kills, respectively. Haley Kerkman spent the night spreading the ball around well to her hitters, recording 24 assists.

Next up, the Warriors were able to break through and get the win, taking down St. Mary's in straight sets 25-20, 25-15. 

This time around, it was freshman Trinity Kurpgeweit that led the attack, putting down six kills. Dietz and Shelby Pitzer added four more kills each. 

The big story of the game was the skill the Warriors showed at the service line. As a team, Neligh-Oakdale recorded 16 aces, including eight from Frey and five from Kerkman.
