2017 season preview: Clearwater-Orchard’s boys track team will have a fresh new look in 2017.
That is because the team welcomes three freshman to a team that loses its only state qualifier from 2016 in Jagger Smith.
Eli Macke, Houston Marino and Gage Switzer join Jacob Long, Austin Pokorny, Chris Kester, Creston Bertschinger and Seth Lampert on the track for the spring season. 
As the lone senior on the squad, Lampert will lead the way for the Cyclones. Last season, he competed in high jump and also ran the distance races.
Long, Pokorny and Kester make up a talented sophomore class for O-C. As a freshman, Long spent much of the year as the number two high jumper and long jumper for the Cyclones, behind Smith. Kester made his mark on the middle distances for Clearwater-Orchard. Pokorny will look to fill in and help the Cyclones.
Clearwater-Orchard kicks off its 2017 season on March 17 at Wayne State.
