2017 season preview: Neligh-Oakdale will hit the golf course in 2017 with a young squad. 

Chris Bentley enters the season as the lone senior for a Warrior team that loses three of its top five golfers from 2016, including the lone state qualifier. Bentley, a consistent medalist throughout the season last year, will look to fill in as the top man on the young squad. 

Austin Rice also returns after being part of the five-man varsity group last season as a freshman. He will give the Warriors another strong golfer to build around and lead the team.

Marty Beyer, Ashton Krebs, Dawson Francis, Beau Murray and Neven Kline give coach Frank Gade plenty of options to work with when selecting his top group. Expect the youngsters to battle it out each week for the remaining spots opened up by graduation.

Neligh-Oakdale will have a busy 2017, hitting the course 14 times between the opener and state. They will kick off the season on March 30 in Plainview when they take on Creighton in a dual.
